“”My husband and I founded Santa’s Gift Bag Oy in 2024. Leading up to that, we had shared many years together, starting a family and building our home. With our combined experience and education in the tourism industry, all paths eventually led us here: starting our own business. Our driving force has always been a joyful attitude and a positive spirit, and we wanted those to be the foundation of our company. While the main thing is selling products, we also want to create happiness along the way. It is important to us that everyone enjoys their time in our store—whether they are our employees or our customers. A smile or a kind word can bring a spark of joy to anyone. That is, after all, the true message of Christmas: the goodwill to bring happiness to everyone and the reminder to be kind. And why not carry that spirit throughout the year?
When choosing our selection, we look for something for everyone. Different things matter to different people. One person might be looking for local flavors, while another wants something practical. To an adult, a soft animal might seem not needed, but to a child, it is precious. Souvenirs can hold unexpected value; they might remind you of a long-planned trip that finally came true, or be a gift for a loved one you missed while traveling. My five-year-old son has a shirt that says ‘Kindness brings happiness.’ I often think that adults should have shirts like that too! That sentence has become my own motto, and it’s a message I want to spread in our store too. Even the smallest act of kindness can create happiness.
